After a childhood where his creativity is expressed through music, Erik Beck pursues a degree in photography and sculpture at Concordia University. Active in cinema and radio, he became a composer, actor and director in turn, and also signed several sound installations and performances.
Having learned photography at the school of film, where the process was slow and limiting, Beck has forged a visual language with which he still works today. Always eager to break the established codes, it is natural for him to turn to mobile photography, a new medium in full expansion and in recognition in many institutions in visual arts.
Co-Founder of the Mouvement Art Mobile group (MAM), he has made several solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions in New York, San Francisco, Berlin, Montreal and Sherbrooke.
