Rippley: Contemporary Handwoven Rug

Haut Beau

Size
  • Ripley is an op-art experiment and part of the weaver's interest in stereopsis. The warp is linen, and the weft is a 100% wool from New Zealand. This is a flatwoven weft face twill, which means the warp (the linen) is completely hidden throughout the body of the rug by the weft (the wool) which is packed down hard over the warp threads. This gives the rug a nice thickness and firm texture.
Each rug is unique. The images give a good idea of what you'll receive.

Quebec Region: Handwoven in Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Material & Colour: Belgian tow linen is used for the warp and New Zealand wool is used for the weft. Both are natural materials which have immeasurable advantages over synthetic alternatives and which have been in continual use as textile materials for thousands of years.

    Dimensions : Big40" x 68" - 102 cm x 173 cm.
