After her studies in visual arts, Émilie Gaudreault redirected her career to professional photography. It was following a long journey in 2014 that she developed her current expertise and created what is today, Création Norem.
Designer of textile jewelry, Émilie uses a micro-macrame technique that was taught to her during her travels, by professionals from all over the world. Inspired by these different cultures as well as by her environment, she combines elegance and simplicity in her creations. She says her jewelry is the bearer of history. They are made with Linhasita, a waxed polyester cord that is resistant to sun, water and weather. Émilie loves to create the kind of jewelry that you always wear with you.
Use & Care: Although every piece is as solid and durable as possible, lace and the occasional fringe remains a delicate material. It is preferable to store the jewelry flat or hanging depending on the design to help keep its shape as long as possible. Should some of the lace become wrinkled, you could put it under a heavy book as long as needed. Other maintenance solutions include using a flat iron for hair (specifically for the lack of moisture) on low setting to iron fringe and lace tips as well as Tide-to-go or Shout wipes to brighten whites.
